Journal sentences that survive the next session

A useful journal entry names what was finished on the chart, what was not, and what would have invalidated the idea. It does not need adjectives about courage or destiny.

A template we borrow in mentoring

1. Governing swing and timeframe I chose to honour
2. Zone or edge I believed was unfinished
3. Permission I required from the candle close
4. Invalidation that would end the idea without debate
5. What I actually did, in one plain sentence

Students who fill this template before the session write shorter post-mortems. Students who skip it often discover they never had invalidation language at all.
